Eng. Monther Hind | General Director

Eng. Monther Hind was born and raised in Al Bireh-Ramallah. He received his Bachelor’s degree in 1994 in Civil Engineering from the University Degli Studi del’Aquila, Italy.  He has 21 years of experience in managing projects covering a comprehensive spectrum of environmental specialties related to water and sanitation in Palestine. Monther was the project manager of a large-scale wastewater management project funded by the German government for ten years. Since 1996, he has provided technical environmental services to local authorities with a focus on water, wastewater and solid waste management, collaborating with different international donors and experts to support the Palestinian National Authority. Monther also undertakes freelance work for different donors, performing feasibility studies and advisory services on infrastructural issues and environmental projects. In 2004, Monther founded the Palestinian Wastewater Engineers Group (PWEG), aiming to support local and national authorities in better performing their environmental duties with a special focus on water resources protection.

Amal Orabi | Office Manager and Financial Assistant

Amal Orabi is from Jerusalem, she received her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Birzeit University in 2014, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from same University in 1996. Amal has worked in a number of private sector organizations and possesses a wide range of experience in administration. Amal joined PWEG in March 2015 as a Manager and Coordinator, managing project activities, workshops and reporting, providing administrative and financial support to all members of the team. She is also responsible for events management and coordinating human resources. 

Mohammad Barghouthi | Project Manager / Senior Engineer

Graduated from Bangalore University India with a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering in 1984. Mr. Barghouthi has wide experience in the design and supervision of water and wastewater projects, planning and managing water and wastewater projects. He also has a broad experience in solid waste management and institutional capacity building. Mohammad has broad experience in communication and facilitation.

Ali Abu Sway | Water and Sanitation Engineer

Ali Abu Sway is from Bethlehem, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Palestine Polytechnic University in 2009. Ali has a broad experience in GIS and site supervision of water and wastewater related projects; open water channels, modified septic tanks, household grey water treatment plants, water transmission pipelines, reservoirs, irrigation networks, etc. In addition to, quality control of materials and reporting on site activities.

Imad Zeidan | Accounting Expert

Imad has a B.A. in Accounting since 2007 and has worked for more than 7 years as an accountant at PWEG, he has been financially supervising ongoing funded projects, preparing, examining, and analyzing accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

Amina Taweel | Accounting Expert

Amina Taweel is from Al Bireh, she received her Master’s Degree in Accounting and Taxation from Al Quds (Abu Dees) University in 2015. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, minor in Business Administration from Birzeit University in 2011. Amina joined PWEG in May 2012 as Financial Assistant, managing projects accounting records, payment process, petty cash and preparing financial forecast etc.

Ibrahim Hind | Management and Coordination

With a B.A. in Modern Media minor Business Administration obtained in 2015, Mr. Ibrahim provides administrative assistant to project manager, prepares project reports, organizes workshops and events and prepares monthly administrative reports for projects.

Ziad Sobeh | Senior Water and Sanitation Engineer

Ziad Sobeh is from Ramallah, he obtained a B.Sc. in Industrial and Civil Engineering from Vladimir Polytechnic Institute, Russia in 1987, he is an expert in water and infrastructural projects, he designs rainwater drainage facilities, water and wastewater systems, he has an excellent experience in supervision of construction of infrastructures.

Mary Deeik | Junior Environmental Engineer

Mary Is from Bethlehem, she received a B.Sc. in Environmental Technology Engineering from Palestine Polytechnic University in 2017. She is responsible for data collection, field assessment, with a broad CAD and GIS experience.

Fathi Musleh | Wastewater Senior Expert

Eng. Fathi is from Jerusalem, he has 50 years of experience, Eng. Fathi has strong experience in centralized and decentralized wastewater management strategies, design of low cost on-site wastewater treatment plants, preparation of training on wastewater operation and maintenance.

Saed Qmeha | Topographic Surveyor

Saed is from Ramallah, he has 30 years of experience in topographic surveying of all kinds of civil surveying, CAD operator, draft man and quantity surveyors.
